Labor Day is a chance to pause and recognize the people behind the work—the hands that build, make, grow, create, and keep businesses moving. For us, that feels especially meaningful.
At SallyeAnder, we’ve believe there is something special about knowing the people behind what you buy. When you shop with a small, family-owned business, your purchase isn't simply moving through a big system or passing through a warehouse. It is supporting the people who show up every day to make, package, ship, and stand behind what they create.
Every bar of soap starts with someone measuring ingredients and carefully bringing a recipe together. It gets poured, cut, wrapped, labeled, and packed by hand. Behind every order is someone making sure it gets where it needs to go. Behind every customer is a team that wants you to love what you receive.
After more than 44 years, we still believe there's something pretty special about knowing the people behind what you buy. This Labor Day, we're celebrating our team, our small business, and all of the people who choose to support independent businesses like ours.
Handmade isn't just about how something looks. It's about the time, skill, and care that goes into making it.
It comes from using ingredients we trust, sticking with formulas that have stood the test of time, and taking pride in the finished product. It comes from knowing that the person making something today is connected to the person who will eventually use it.
That's one of the beautiful things about handmade. We want to make something we're proud to put our name on.
For more than four decades, we've had the privilege of doing that work.
And we've also had the privilege of having customers who make it possible.
Every time you choose a small business, you're helping someone keep making. You're helping a team stay busy. You're helping a family-owned company continue doing things with care and purpose.
You're supporting the people behind the product.
This Labor Day, we're celebrating our team, our work, our 44+ years of making things by hand, and all of the people who choose to support independent businesses like ours.
Because behind every bar of soap is a little bit of hard work, a lot of care, and a whole lot of people.

Your soaps are wonderful! Using Milk and Mint cleared up my rosacea years ago. I was able to stop using metrolotion. Your soaps are worth every penny. Thank you for making such a special product.
